Kuala Lumpur

Perhentian Island

For the budget travelers, you will love Malaysia Perhentian Island. The Kecil island which is the smaller one will fill your day with the excellent snorkeling and diving, before being thrilled with parties at night. You can also opt to visit Perhentian Besar, the bigger island, which caters to both small resort crowds and families looking to spend more to enjoy the magic of blue water.

Kek Lok Si Temple

Kek Lok Si Temple is a relatively new temple, located at Penang, dating back in 1891.Despite it being new, the temple is one of the most important Chinese Buddhist Temple in the south-east of Asia. It is also known as the temple of Supreme Bliss and features an impressive sight, with uncountable images of Buddha.  You will also like the Temple of Rama IV, the main highlight of the complex, due to the thousands of Buddha carvings.

Batu Caves

Visitors traveling to Batu Caves will enjoy the pretty awesome Hindu art. The Cave is made of three main caves making it among the most popular Hindu shrine outside India. The Batu cave attracts thousands of worshippers to its annual Hindu festival. You will be amazed of the giant Hindi god which you can climb the 272 steps to Cathedral Cave to reach it.

Malaysian Borneo

For those looking to divert from the dirty concrete to abundant wildlife and green forest, Malaysian Borneo is the way to go. Most people when visiting Malaysia forget of the natural wonders of the earth and often sticks to the mainland. Malacca

Is commonly spelled as Melaka. This place is worthwhile stopping for its rich cultural and historical sites. It also boasts UNESCO World Heritage site since 2008. The old town of Malacca never disappoints its visitors. If you experience nothing else, enjoy the relaxed vibe pleasant enough to glue you around for some few days.

Cameron Highlands

And for those who like farming, Cameron Highlands is a region located 20km east of Ipoh. This place enjoys cool climate. It is one of the few places in Southeast Asia where you’ll find yourself on a jacket. Visitors enjoy the plenty of lush scenery, access to decent trekking trails weaving through beautiful tea plantations and around the volcanoes.

North Borneo Railway

Visitors like you can also take a trip into the past on a 1900 steam train at the North Borneo Railway. It is the only train in Borneo and chugs about 83 miles from Papar to Aru. Riding on this train will give a good feeling as you see the local villages with stilt-built houses and also the rice paddies worked with water buffalo.

Tioman Island

Tioman Island is a different kind of destination located on Malaysia’s east coast few kilometers from Singapore. Visitors enjoy the cheap, excellent diving and accommodation. The island is carved into beaches. Some of the beaches are secluded while others are quite busy depending on the season. Getting a speedboat will give you a memorable experience, as you move around. The island is ideal for families with small children, scuba divers, Honeymooners and the adventurers.

Langkawi

This is the best known holiday destination in Malaysia. Langkawi features 99 islands in the Andaman Sea. Pulau Langkawi is by far the largest of the islands with a population of 65,000. The area is fringed with long white beaches. You will also like the craggy mountain perks and interior jungle covered with hills, a reason why it is the most heavily promoted tourist destination in Malaysia. You will find the most popular beaches on the west coast giving you wide choice of restaurants and best resorts.
