Mexico is one of the popular tourist destinations with lots of vacation spots and places. There are over 20 million foreign visitors who visit Mexico every year. There is something for everyone in Mexico. 1. Teotihuacan Mexico:

The new civilization arose in the 2nd century BC, in a valley of Mexico built the flourishing metropolis of Teotihuacan and the huge pyramids in the place. The main pyramid is the pyramid of sun which was built around 100 AD and is also the largest pyramids in the Teotihuacan and also the entire country. Another smaller construction, the pyramid of moon took place a century later and was finished by 45 AD. Seven centuries after the fall of the Teotihuacan Empire, these two pyramids were utilized by the famous Aztecs and also they became a place of pilgrimage for them. The Mesoamerica’sgreatest city is also 31 miles far from the city and can be reached by bus or taxi.

2. Chichen Itza Mexico:

One of the largest Mayan cities in the Yucatan peninsula and at present one of the most popular destinations in Mexico. The icon of chichen Itza is the famous and most visited, temple and pyramid of el Castillo. The temple’s design has an astronomical significance and each side of the pyramid, there are a total of 91 steps and all the steps share a single step on the top and the total number of steps are 365 representing the number of days in a year. Other important and best places to visit in the city are the great ball court and el Caracol which is a circular temple that has served as an ancient astronomical observatory.

Cancun is one of the world’s famous tourist destinations on the Caribbean coast located in the Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula. 4. Los Cabos Mexico:

Los cabos is famously known as the marlin sort fishing capital of the planet and has gained popularity over the last few decades as one of the best travel places to go to in Mexico. It is situated in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur and is composed of two towns namely the San Jose and San Lucas. They both are divided by a 20 mile of scenic highway called as the corridor. The white sandy beach at the southern tip of the Baja California is backed up with beautiful resorts and restaurants and other modern attractionswhich can thrill and make you feel alive in your vacation. If you plan to visit the place in winter, don’t forget to take a look at the mighty whales in the Pacific Ocean.

5. Oaxaca Mexico:

Oaxaca is the capital city of the Mexican state Oaxaca and is located in the valley below the mountains of sierra Madre. The place offers a lot of things like archeological sites, colonial architecture and finally a very pleasant and tranquil weather that makes this place one of the best places to visit in Mexico. This southern Mexican city is also well known for its Dia De Los Muertos festival which is a holiday celebration in many parts of Latin America. This festival has its roots into the past cultures like zapotec and Aztec, making it one of the ancient festivals in the world. There is the famous day of the dead festival at the end of October. In this festival, the tombs of the dead and the altars are decorated with flowers and families believe that the spirits will return, so they leave their offerings for the spirits.

Tulum is located on the east coast of the Yucatan peninsula, Tulum is one of the major ports of the once Mayan city, Coba. This place was built around 1200 AD when the Mayan civilization is in its falling stage and therefor this place lacks some of the elegance of the other Mayan sites, but the best thing is the tropical beach background which makes this place stunning and most attractive places in the country. 7. Copper Canyon Mexico:

The copper canyon is a place where you can find a network of different canyons when together, can make the Grand Canyon look smaller. Cozumel is a popular destination located just off the Yucatan peninsula and is famous for its scuba diving and snorkeling. For those who love sea and its adventures, this is just the place for you. The underwater world of the Cozumel was discovered in 1959 by Jacques Cousteau who mentioned it as one of the best diving areas on the planer and since that time, it has become the national marine park to protect the delicate underwater life and the beautiful coral reefs and the tropical fish.

This is a place in mountains of the sierra de Guanajuato and was founded in 1554. The 16th century mining boom made this beautiful place filled with fine colonial buildings.
